The Center for Policing Equity is a research and action think tank that, through evidence-based approaches to social justice, conducts research and uses data to create levers for social, cultural and policy change. 
Key Responsibilities
Working in close collaboration with CPE’s co-founder, Dr. Phillip Atiba Goff, and senior leadership team, the Senior Vice President of Strategy and Partnerships will be responsible for:
  • Collaborating with senior leadership and research teams to evaluate research requests and make recommendations based on CPE’s capacity and expertise to deliver high-quality research
  • Managing a portfolio of funding and partner relationships, clearly defining partnership objectives, and actively searching for opportunities to create and cultivate new relationships with funders and partners
  • Serving as a public spokesperson for CPE, responding to requests for interviews, and proactively identifying and pursuing speaking opportunities to present CPE’s research
  • Contributing to CPE’s thought leadership by writing content for publication in various media, including academic journals, traditional media, social media, and blogs
  • Contributing positively to CPE’s organizational culture, particularly during the next phase of significant growth
  • PhD in a relevant field preferred 
  • Proven record creating, publishing, and presenting high-quality, high-impact research
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage funder and partner relationships
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Collaborative and team-oriented with an ability to engage diverse perspectives and experiences
  • Experience in a senior leadership role with a passion for coaching, mentoring, and leading others
  • Extensive experience creating and delivering presentations to diverse audiences and across various platforms
