About Gender Justice and the UnRestrict Minnesota Campaign:
Gender Justice and Gender Justice Action are nonprofit legal, policy, and political advocacy organizations based in St. Paul, Minnesota, working in Minnesota and North Dakota to advance gender equity through the law. We fight discrimination based on sex, gender, sexual orientation, or gender identity. We represent clients directly in state and federal court and before administrative agencies in impact and strategic litigation cases. In addition to pursuing justice through the legal system, we also advocate for policies that expand gender equity and educate the public about their rights and how to fight gender discrimination. We employ grassroots organizing, coalition building, and strategic communications and narrative strategies to create the movement momentum and cultural conditions for gender equity to flourish. We are also the institutional home of the UnRestrict Minnesota coalition and campaign, which works to protect, expand, and destigmatize access to abortion care–and all reproductive healthcare—in Minnesota through public education, advocacy, and the law. This is an exciting time at Gender Justice and Gender Justice Action as we expand geographically to North Dakota and build our team. We’re a small but mighty organization with an operating budget of $4 million and a talented and growing staff of 20, looking for the newest member of our ambitious, highly effective, and growing team.

Launched in 2019, UnRestrict Minnesota works to protect, expand, and destigmatize access to abortion care–and all reproductive healthcare—in Minnesota through public education, advocacy, and the law.

Our vision is to achieve full reproductive justice, an organizing framework created and led by Black women where every person has the ability to decide if, when, and how to become a parent, raise healthy children in safe and thriving communities, and have gender freedom and bodily autonomy.

We are led by a cross-sector, multi-racial, 32-organization strong coalition of LGBTQ+ advocates, faith communities, clinicians, activists, doctors, abortion funds, lawyers, organizers, healthcare clinics, doulas, podcasts, and more.

The UnRestrict Minnesota Senior Campaign Manager is a staff position of Gender Justice and supports the coalition as a whole.

Position Summary:
Gender Justice is seeking a dedicated, passionate, talented UnRestrict Minnesota Senior Campaign Manager to manage a multi-racial, cross-sector campaign and 32-member coalition to educate and engage Minnesotans on abortion restrictions and reproductive justice in Minnesota, advocate for reproductive freedom at the Minnesota Legislature, and support on-going litigation aimed at striking down the current abortion restrictions. With our recent wins at the MN State Legislature, as well as through our lawsuit to remove Minnesota’s restrictions on abortion, this is a potent and powerful time to lead and build the movement for reproductive freedom. A successful Senior Campaign Manager will be adept at working both with a high level of autonomy and also collaboratively with colleagues and coalition partners.
