Position Summary
Engagement Managers are proactive, detail-oriented, and conscientious team players with a proven record of social impact and excellent project management. They support Partners and/or Vice Presidents to plan and execute searches consistent with LeaderFit’s client service ethos. Engagement Managers drive the search process for a variety of searches, achieving key milestones and animating LeaderFit values in all client and candidate communication.

Key Responsibilities

Search Management
  • Proactively plan each phase of LeaderFit’s searches achieving key milestones
  • Manage the production of key documents, including search timelines, job descriptions, offer letters, and other key client deliverables with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Oversee the development of candidate pipelines and outreach
  • Review candidate applications and update candidate application database as necessary on a timely basis
  • Participate in internal LeaderFit and client meetings, taking notes and taking ownership for follow-up on action items with appropriate stakeholders

Candidate Engagement 
  • Ensure all candidates receive appropriate and timely communication from LeaderFit regarding the status of their candidacy consistent with LeaderFit’s values
  • Conduct first-round phone interviews, collecting key information, taking detailed notes and answering candidate questions about the role

Client Support 
  • Collaborate closely with LeaderFit Partners and/or Vice Presidents to ensure exceptional client service and communication throughout each search
  • As needed, communicate with clients via email and phone to schedule interviews and provide updates
  • Participate in and prepare team for regular client search updates

Requirements
  • Professional experience managing fast-paced, complex projects with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated commitment to the nonprofit sector
  • Entrepreneurial orientation with the proven ability to take initiative, be proactive and self-directed
  • Superb organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail, including ability to execute on multiple projects simultaneously and effectively juggle competing priorities
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to be resourceful, proactively seeking out solutions and process improvements
  • Relationship-oriented with a superb client service ethic 
  • Exceptional writing skills, with the ability to produce high-quality search documents and written communication
  • Record of discretion in managing confidential and sensitive information
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage with candidates and clients confidently and professionally
  • Experience managing different work styles, managing up and anticipating needs
  • Comfortable learning and integrating new technology to improve efficiency
  • Flexible team player with a deep commitment to going the extra mile to ensure client satisfaction and contribute to LeaderFit’s success
  • Strong judgement, integrity and high level of personal responsibility
