Position Responsibilities
 
  • Support Program Directors in conducting due diligence on potential grant investments, processing grants and monitoring grantee performance.
  • Capture and share grantee successes, challenges, learning and performance data.
  • Generate award letters, manage the grant payment process, and coordinate the development and signature of grant agreements in coordination with Program Directors and the internal legal team.
  • Support the Director of Operations in implementing best practices in grant administration and legal compliance.
  • Serve as an administrator of the Foundation’s grant management system, foundationConnect.
    • Create and manage online applications, reports and user profiles.
    • Provide direct technical assistance to applicants, grantees and internal foundation staff.
    • Manage and ensure the accuracy of grant data.
    • Develop reports and dashboards to support grantmaking operations.
 
Skills and Qualifications
 
  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred
  • One to three years of work experience, preferably in a nonprofit or foundation setting
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to manage changing priorities and competing deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced environment, and organize time and priorities with minimal supervision
  • Track record of successfully developing and managing relationships with external stakeholders
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency working with budgets, databases, web-based systems, common online research tools, and with Microsoft Office applications
  • Flexible work style and an interest in being a part of a dynamic and evolving organization
  • A sense of humor, flexibility, and a terrific work ethic
  • Impeccable integrity and discretion
