The Program Director is responsible for managing the Fellowship program recruitment process, developing and delivering the high-quality learning experiences within the Fellowship program, administering the complex Fellowship program, and continually assessing the success of the Fellowship program against the stated mission. The Program Director coaches and mentors each Fellow, supporting the learning process and meeting the unique needs of each individual.

  • Manage the recruiting and admissions process by maintaining strong relationships with key partners, attending recruiting events, and managing the applicant pipeline from initial contact through enrollment.
  • Balance the following elements within the program: learning labs, business rotations and classroom time with the educational partner faculty. Do this by managing the calendar, building and maintaining strong relationships with all key partners, and adhering to the program design parameters.
  • Facilitate a strong group dynamic within each cohort class while building trust and teaching skills of resiliency; coach and mentor each fellow through the program while being a sounding board for ideation of ‘what comes next.’
  • Work collaboratively with the CEO and Director of Development to ensure that all business partners requests for program integration are both in-line with the program mission and meet the needs of the Fellow’s learning objectives.
  • Build critically important relationships with outside partners such as veteran entrepreneurs, business partners, educational partners, recruiting partners and other veteran service organizations to ensure that the program is rich with great partners and the resources available to fellows and graduates remain strong.
  • Ensure that program expenditures remain in budget; report appropriately to the Director of Finance and the Director of Development updates, changes, or challenges to the budget process. Provide budget information for all financial reporting required.
  • Report evaluation data bi-annually to the CEO and Director of Development by continuously engage in program evaluation, oversee management of data collection, and regularly review evaluation data for needed changes or adjustments to achieve better program outcomes.
  • Engage with alumni and Dog Tag Alumni Association to maintain strong connections, facilitate alumni interaction with fellows, and support the alumni community’s growth.

Required Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree in adult education, higher education, organizational development, psychology, sociology or similar discipline
  • 5+ years in corporate education and/or higher education
  • 5+ years in education program management
  • Education program management
  • Experience as a coach and mentor
  • Working knowledge of higher education administration, credentialing processes and related policies
  • Fine attention to detail
  • Ability to think strategically and execute big ideas
  • Acute awareness of human dynamics and people; ability to intervene appropriately as people learn, transition, grow, and face fears
  • Well organized and timely
  • Excellent communicator
  • Emotional Resilience; grit

Preferred Qualifications:
  • A graduate degree in education, organization development or similar discipline
  • International Coaching Federation coaching credential
  • Non-profit experience
