The Director, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) will lead WWF’s strategy and programmatic initiatives to ensure we provide a workplace and culture where all employees feel safe, respected, included, and empowered to fulfill our mission. Reporting to the VP, Human Resources, the Director, DEI will partner with leaders across the organization to provide education, tools, and resources that promote and support an inclusive culture.

Key Responsibilities: 
  • Set organizational strategy and clearly defined objectives for creating a workplace and culture where diversity is embraced and where all WWF employees have equal opportunity to reach their potential
  • Assess WWF’s core challenges related to DEI and partner with leaders across the organization to identify and implement opportunities to advance equity
  • Lead data gathering, analysis, and reporting for key metrics, collaborating with stakeholders to develop plans to address gaps in a meaningful and sustainable way
  • Participate in and advise the recruitment and retention of underrepresented groups; partner with talent acquisition team and hiring managers to develop recruitment strategies that attract diverse candidates
  • Create and deliver learning and development opportunities for all employees to understand how to create a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace and culture
  • Serve as a thought leader in conversations about diversity and inclusion to internal and external audiences
  • Supervise the work of consultants and interns and manage the budget for diversity related projects.   
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
 
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor’s degree (preferably in HR, Business, or a related field). Advanced degree preferred 
  • 10+ years of experience developing and implementing innovative human capital strategies
  • 5 years of experience developing strategies and executing initiatives that drive measurable diversity & inclusion results
  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with a diverse set of stakeholders
  • Strong project management, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Experience serving constituents in a complex, multi-site, multi-state environment; highly effective operating within a matrix environment
  • Exceptional written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
