Alteristic seeks a Director of Training to lead the senior training team and oversee the organization’s internal training programs. Reporting to the President and working closely with the Vice Presidents of Programs, the Director is responsible for ensuring quality trainings and constant improvement in training programs and initiatives. The Director leverages analysis of ongoing programs, incorporates feedback from training participants, observes trainings, and reviews recordings of trainings to ensure trainer content mastery and develop unique and effective training solutions.

Essential Functions
 
Organizational Development
  • Under the guidance of the President, plan and coordinate the delivery of trainings
  • Implement efficient internal operational and programmatic strategies to assist in organizational growth
  • Strategically partner with the VPs of Programs to oversee the training team while ensuring ongoing training excellence using various training theories
  • Develop detailed learning goals/objectives for Alteristics’s training team in a fixed schedule, while continually adjusting as the organization continues to learn and grow
  • Work with President and VPs of Programs to devise training content mastery process and materials into a clear and efficient course that allows Alteristic to “sign off” Senior Trainers on content mastery and ensure they are fully equipped to lead and facilitate trainings
  • Oversee scheduling of Alteristic trainings and pre-training host orientations including securing all necessary logistical and program related information
  • Work closely with the operations team to ensure efficient training logistics
  • Actively promotes Alteristic’s mission, vision and values statements and incorporate these beliefs and values into daily work ethic


Team Management and Development  
  • Lead, guide and implement the process to develop training skill by coaching the training team
  • Attract, develop, coach, and retain high-performance trainers and team members, empowering them to elevate their level of responsibility, span of control, and performance
  • Direct training and development processes ensuring all new hires receive high-quality orientation and on-boarding experiences
  • Play a mentorship role to key training personnel, assisting in the execution of their duties upon request, honing their skills, and continuously fostering an open feedback process
  • Participate in and guide regularly scheduled training program meetings
  • Oversee scheduling of Alteristic trainings and pre-training host orientations including securing all necessary logistical and program related information.
  • Provide leadership in development of inter-team communication and cohesiveness, sustaining culture and supporting staff during organizational growth
 
Training
  • Provide training and technical assistance in the domains of power-based personal violence prevention (sexual assault, intimate partner violence, stalking, bullying, and child abuse) and effective community mobilization including but not limited to the Green Dot Violence Prevention strategy
  • Contribute as a team member to prevention program curriculum development for diverse stakeholders (k-12, college, military, neighborhoods, communities of color); media development; online presence; innovative community mobilization strategies, etc.
 
Qualifications
  • Minimum master’s degree with at least 10 years of progressive experience
  • At least 7 years working in a training and development capacity, with a track record in developing, training and leading high-performing remote teams
  • Excellence in organizational management with the ability to coach, manage and develop high-performance teams and develop and implement program strategies
  • Dynamic and persuasive trainer
  • Excellent leadership abilities, interpersonal and collaborative skills, speaking and writing skills, strong listening skills, organizational skills, 
    and the ability to simultaneously engage in and manage multiple priorities
  • Experience in delivering training and coaching others to facilitate training
  • Experience with program and content development
  • Experience and/or training in adult education across diverse populations
